Hmmmm...I work for the state government of Texas, at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. I work for a psychiatrist who does bipolar research. She's pretty cool, and I actually like working for her, and doing what I do. What I do is write grant proposals, edit grants and manuscripts, create powerpoint presentations, manage the journal library, and whatever other miscellaneous things come up. I occasionally get to do minor statistical analyses, which is fun, and something I'd like to do more of and go to school for and stuff. What I DON'T do is see patients anymore, which is A-OK with me. I also don't spend Saturday nights in the County Psych ER anymore, either, which is why my sanity quotient has increased over the past year.

I own a small house that backs up to a greenbelt in a suburb of Dallas. I have a dog (Chinese Crested, powerderpuff style) and a husband (5'11", brown haired, blue-eyed male style). I also own a 2001 4Runner, the youngest, lowest mileage vehicle I've ever owned. I'm pretty good with my life right now, which is a pretty good feeling.
